The project of leading the assessment of the Kaiser plant grounds, one of the most contaminated pieces of real estate in the Puget Sound region had to be accomplished quickly (within a few months) yet Suzanne Dudziak was already fully engaged in the supervision and coordination of the Hylebos Superfund Cleanup. Suzanne did the work literally on her own (supervising a very high powered consultant team), while maintaining contact and coordinating with a myriad of involved individuals, including executive, real estate, engineering, and others in the environmental department, and the owner’s representatives. Suzanne’s comprehensive and thorough assessment allowed the Port to complete a complex and demanding ‘due diligence’ exercise to assess the risks associated with the purchase of this property.

Regarding the Hylebos Cleanup Project…

The project is near completion and has been on time and under budget, which is not a small task for a project of this magnitude. In particular, Ms. Dudziak has been very effective in dealing with the various regulatory agencies involved with this project. I attribute her success in this area to the fact that she has very good people, technical, and management skills.
